Tomas Studeník is an urban hacker, innovator, and author of The Art of Failure. He is the founder of Blackout Prague, a unique project that blends applied sociology with immersive theatre to explore what happens when modern cities go dark. Tomas has organized dozens of hackathons in Europe and the US, created the world’s first theatre play written by artificial intelligence, and co-founded Caelestinus, a healthtech incubator. He lectures on innovation, resilience, and scenario planning at universities and conferences worldwide, often focusing on low-probability, high-impact events such as blackouts and systemic collapse. At DarkPrague he will reveal what governments don’t tell you about surviving in a city when the power fails.
