About

As Head of Ecosystem at BlockApps, Bob is helping to drive the transition of STRATO Mercata from a closed-source platform to a rich, decentralized ecosystem, bridging on-chain and real world assets.

Bob Summerwill was previously Executive Director for the ETC Cooperative and has been working full-time on blockchain projects since late 2015. He worked on Ethereum and Hyperledger in earlier years, followed by a switch to Ethereum Classic and a belated Bitcoin orange-pilling. He has a growing interest in privacy projects.

Bob has been programming since 1984 and as a professional software engineer since 1996 (primarily working on AAA video games). Originally from the UK, he has lived in Vancouver since 2003, and is now a dual citizen of Canada and the UK.

JEDAI
Finance & code fault line
Jedai is a systems thinker operating at the fault line between finance and code. He has spent years inside regulation—standards bodies, risk frameworks, and compliance systems—mapping how power concentrates in custody and discretion. He now focuses on designing alternatives: cryptographic, protocol-based systems that replace institutional trust with verifiable rules. His work centers on self-sovereign identity, decentralized finance primitives, and incentive design that removes the need for gatekeepers. Author of Unregulatable, he argues that the future of money will not be governed by permission, but by architecture.
